How to look after your new treatment...
After care is really important to ensure your new nails, lashes, lips or brows stay beautiful.

Acrylics
Don't use your new extensions as tools such as opening cans or picking labels off. Avoid soaking as water can get trapped inbetweeen the nail and extension which can lead to bacteria forming and an infection. If excessive breaking happens prehaps they're too long? Always come in for a removal, never bite them off as this will damage your nails.
Use gloves if cooking with colourants as these will discolour your nails.

lash extensions
Do not pick the extensions off as this can pull your own lashes off. Excessive picking can damage the hair folicle and prevent future growth. Please come in for a removal to prevent any damage to your lashes. Infills must be done within two weeks. Avoid oily products like eye creams and make up removers/cleansing balms as this will de bond the glue.
After showering gently pat with a towel, avoid wiping eyes as this will pull the lashes. Avoid using mascara as this will clog up and encourage bacteria and an eye infection.

Shellac
Avoid using your nails as tools such as opening cans or picking labels off. Avoid picking as this can damage your nails. A soak off is performed before any new shellac application. Avoid acetone as this will make them lift and use gloves if cooking with colourant as this can stain the gel. Shellac should last two weeks if you are careful with your nails.

Lip blush
Lips swell after lip blush as the area is very vascular, swelling will go down within a few hours. You should keep lips dry and away from dust and bacteria. Avoid spicy and hot food and drinks for 24 hours, try using a straw. Ointment can be sparingly applied after 24 hours once they feel dry. Throughout the healing process the lips will lightly scab over, do not pick this layer off and allow it to come away naturally. The colour will fade 50% within a few days, almost dissapear then as the skin sheds the colour will reappear. A second top up appointment will be needed for optimum pigment implantation and to create a perfect colour. Apply UV sunscreen and avoid sun exposure as this fades the colour (I keep a sunscreen lip balm with me at all times, protects, moisturises and gives them a nice gloss)
If the lips are for a special occasion please allow at least 3 months for two sessions and full healing.
*Please be aware that as this treatment is trauma to the lips, cold sores can break out so you are advised to get prescription anti viral medication from your GP before the appointment and a cold sore ointment for after, like zovirax, which should be applied every day for ten days to prevent a breakout. This is especially important if you are prone to cold sores.

Brows
After your nano brow appointment keep your brows dry so not long ho showers, swimming, saunas or doing exercise which would cause sweating for 7 days. The first few days the tattoo will scab over and will eventually shed off revealing a much lighter colour. After a couple of weeks the colour will begin to reappear and any patchyness will fill in. A top up appointment is important to implant more pigment which will help the colour last longer. Avoid picking the brows and be gentle with them, they will be sore for 24 hours so avoid touching them and sleeping face down. Once they start to flake you can apply a very thin layer of the ointment to the area twice a day.
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption and drug use as this makes the body detox and as pigment is foreign it can be broken down and cause excessive fading, sometimes dissapearing completely. Apply UV sunscreen and avoid sun exposure as this will fade the colour.
If the brows are for a special occasion please allow at least 3 months for two sessions and full healing.

LVL lash lift
Please avoid getting lashes wet for 12 hours as this can deactivate the perming solution. You will not need to use lash curlers but you are free to use mascara and any make up remover to remove it. Lash lifts can last up to 8 weeks and a tint inbetween can keep the lashes looking fresh. After 8 weeks almost all of the lashes will have shed off, revealing the new lashes which are straight so after 8 weeks a lash lift can be performed again. If a lash lift is applied within 8 weeks the lashes can be over processed and snap.

tattoos
Please leave second skin on for 3 days, after this gently remove the sheet and clean area with anibacterial soap. Gently pat dry and apply ointment twice a day. The tattoo will scab and flake, avoid picking and let the skin shed naturally. Avoid sun exposure and apply UV sunscreen to avoid fading.

Microneedling
After your treatment be gentle to your skin, avoiding exfoliants and other facials for 2 weeks. Avoid retinol and other active ingredients such as acids, which can cause irritation to the now sensitive skin. Use gentle moisturising products, particularly products With hyaluronic acid. Your skin might feel sore for 12 hours and will feel dry and start to flake after 24 hours, avoid exfoliating and allow skin to shed naturally.
Avoid sauans, swimming and excercise for 7 days and avoid sleeping on your face. Sleep on a clean pillow and avoid touching your face and neck as there will be tiny wounds prone to bacteria. Avoid sun exposure and always use an SPF as this prevents ageing of the skin and protects the skin. Keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
6 monthly treatments, followed by one every 6 months is reccomended to ensure maximum collagen production and to maintain this.
